This week we worked a lot with white balance. This was interesting because I didn't know anything about white balance before.
We also discussed the concept of colour temperature. For example sun light has a lot "warmer" colour temperature than fluorescent lights. Changing the white balance to different settings can help the photo look more natural.

Exercise- Architectural Shooting #1
The first thing Joelle and I did was crop and rotate our images. We had to decide what was most important in the photos and if we should take the less important things out. We also determined weather we wanted the the lines to be straight. Then we would adjust exposure to what we wanted. We also used the highlight/shadow and white/black sliders to make the histogram a nice mountain.
As far as shooting goes I should have shot a real door or window. I was kind of confused about the assignment topic. But the cross is the door to salvation ;)
Thursday Thoughts [January 24]
This week we talked about ISO and keeping noise out of our photos.
Joseph also introduced the topic of white balance which helps photos look natural in different lighting. White balance is something I've never heard of so I look forward to exploring it.
